As a fixture of the South East dining scene for more than 35 years we serve modern European cuisine and aim to deliver great value with our fixed-price lunch and dinner menus alongside a comprehensive a la carte menu.
After 40 years in the business Paul and Penny are going to take a bit more of a back seat and let our experienced team led by Chef Clive Lowe, take the lead.
Don’t worry we will still be around just sharing our time between PAULS RESTAURANT, STAY 2A and our new B& B venture, THE BEACH, in Hythe and of course increasing grandchildren!
Clive has been cooking the menu at Pauls for over 5 years and will continue in the same way with a few innotive ideas of his own!
The Gypsy Tart, along with all the other desserts will stay be made by Penny with help from the long suffering Sue!! (with us for 24 years)
Our Desserts trolley offers an excellent choice of puddings to satisfy any sweet toothed fanatic whilst our Sunday Carvery lunch is a regular sell out so we recommend that you reserve your table in advance.
If you have any Food Allergies and Intolerances please speak to a member of our staff before ordering if you would like to know about our ingredients
What makes Pauls Restaurant different?
In a nutshell, we keep it honest and simple.
For a start there is no cover charge, so the warm homemade bread and ice-cold water we serve to your table is on us. And the wine? We stock a respectable 75-bin wine list of well-chosen bottles from around the globe, and no matter whether the wine is valued at £10.00, or £100.00, we only ever charge approx. £8.00 – £10.00 on top the wholesale price that we buy it in at.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
